This is one of an ongoing series of process led paintings which involve a most careful consideration of texture and surface finish, as well as composition. As the light changes over the course of the day, the appearance of the painting changes significantly due to the variety finishes and texture on the surface.

"Father, Son and Holy Spirit/ Trinity" Painting 50x70cm Acrylic paint, various mediums, fillers and pigments, varnish and glass beads on stretched cotton canvas. I have been thinking about how to include a crucifix in my painting, but didn't want to go for an obvious representation. In this painting a cross is suggested by the arrangement of some of the marks. Both blood and water, plus some lightness/flight emotion are expressed.
" Love 3 - Love Bade Me Welcome" Painting 50x70cm Acrylic paint, various mediums, fillers and pigments, varnish and glass beads on stretched cotton canvas.
" LOVE bade me welcome; yet my soul drew back,
Guilty of dust and sin.
But quick-eyed Love, observing me grow slack
From my first entrance in,
Drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning
If I lack'd anything. "
Quoted from the poem Love (III) by George Herbert: George Herbert. 1593–1632
